Speaker Chet Brandon, CSP, CHMM
Chet Brandon, CSP, CHMM, is a highly experienced EHS executive with extensive practice in the Process Industries (chemical, metals & glass) and Manufacturing Operations (automotive, aerospace & electronics). He holds the Certified Safety Professional and Certified Hazardous Materials Manager designations. Chet is in a top leadership role with the leading organization in the injury prevention, occupational medicine safety assurance functional areas that specializes in working with industrial organizations. Mr. Brandon has led a number of industrial concerns, including Fortune 500 businesses, to EHS excellence on a global scale. These efforts include experience in Mexico, Canada, Europe, Malaysia, Australia, and the United States.
Chet has extensive experience in managing the safe processes for explosive metal and carbonaceous dusts in the industrial setting. These experiences include investigation of explosions and deflagrations; development of written programs; emergency response actions; laboratory analysis and risk assessment; and, regulatory interfaces (OSHA, CSB, NFPA). He enjoys sharing the scientific basis behind what appears to be a mysterious phenomenon of dust explosions.
